Union City’s city council will meet Tuesday evening in the Municipal Building courtroom at 5:30 p.m. for a public hearing to review the City of Union City proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, and ending June 30, 2010.
The regular monthly business session will follow. Items on the agenda include an appointment to the City Beautiful Commission, an ordinance setting the tax rate for the City of Union City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, and ending June 30, 2010 (second and final reading), consideration of the proposed budget for that same fiscal year, consideration of an appropriations ordinance for that same fiscal year for the City of Union City, consideration of an ordinance appropriating funds from the hotel/motel tax receipts, the authorization of bids for the demolition of a structure at 1206 East Vine St., the authorization of bids for a leaf machine for the Public Works Department and consideration of minutes from the Sept. 17 meeting of the Planning Commission.
The meetings are open to the public.
Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
