Deadline nearing for Governor's Schools

The Messenger 10.14.09 The deadline to apply for two 2010 Governor’s Schools hosted at the University of Tennessee at Martin is Nov. 25. The Governor’s School for the Humanities will be June 6-July 3 and the Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences is slated for May 23-June 18. Successful applicants will be notified Feb. 15. The Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences focuses on the importance of agriculture and natural resources to the state and national economy. Emphasis on experiential learning and laboratory exercises related to the agricultural sciences will include production agriculture, agricultural business enterprises and natural resources management.
