The University of Tennessee at Martin will sponsor a travel-study trip to Italy March 11-22.
Italy has it all — popes, painters and poets — wrapped in history, culture and cuisine.
The travel-study group, led by Dr. John Overby and Stan Sieber, will visit Roman ruins, admire Renaissance art in Florence and explore the canals of Venice. They will tour San Marino — the third smallest state in Europe (after the Holy See and Monaco) that claims to be the world’s oldest republic. Participants can also indulge in the more elementary pleasures of enjoying good food and wine, improving one’s wardrobe and seeking out “la dolce vita.”
For complete information, contact Overby, Department of Management, Marketing, Computer Science and Information Systems chair, at (731) 881-3268; Sieber, professor of history, at 881-7467; or the Center for International Education at 881-1023.
