Chassity LeeShell Holliman, daughter of Tommy Holliman of Sharon and Judy Holliman of South Fulton, recently received a master of science degree in human development and leadership from Murray (Ky.) State University during winter commencement.
She is a 2001 graduate of South Fulton High School. In 2006, she received her bachelor of arts degree in advertising from Western Kentucky University.
She is currently employed as the student affairs assistant to the Admissions Department at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
There, she serves on the African American Student Advisory Board and is an active member of the Kentucky Association of Blacks in Higher Education.
Her future goals involve a fulfilling and exciting career in student affairs administration at the collegiate level.

Several students from Obion County have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
The local Dean’s List honorees include Brandie Leeann Bransford, James Robert Kelly and Allison Renee McCullough, all of Union City; Jessica Susanne Jones, Kayla Nichole VanZant and Mark Adam VanZant, all of Obion; and Lindsey Brook McDaniel of South Fulton.
To qualify for the distinction, a student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours.

Steven Craig Castellaw of Rives has  been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville.
Students earn the academic distinction by completing a full course load with a quality point average of 3.1 or better on the university’s 4.0 scale.

Kevin Espy, son of Craig and Nancy Espy of Union City, was recently named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Memphis, where he is majoring in business and accounting.
He is a 2009 graduate of Obion County Central High School.
The U of M Dean’s List is comprised of students who have 12 or more earned hours in the fall or spring semesters with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for that semester.

Clarissa Hayes of Union City is among the University of Tennessee at Martin students currently profiled on the home page of the university’s Web site, www.utm.edu.
She is the daughter of Mark and Kristie Hayes of Union City.
