Youth Day planned
Bells Chapel CME Church at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton will host its annual “Youth Day” Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Alvin Summers of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Martin will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome, according to the pastor, the Rev. Eric McKinney Sr.

‘Soul Food’ event set
Exchange Street Church of Christ, located at 420 Exchange St., will host another “Soul Food” event Wednesday from 5:30-8 p.m., or until the food is gone, at the church. The menu will include red beans and rice, jambalaya, bread, salad and dessert.
Entertainment will be provided by a locally well-known group, 7th Seal. The March spotlight will be on “Mission Haiti.” Those attending are asked to bring dried red beans, black beans or rice. All donations will be sent to Haiti through Healing Hands International in Nashville.

Dinner theater set
The Hometown Walk of Hope team from Union City Second Baptist Church is hosting a delicious, fun-filled evening built around the comedy, “Virgil’s Wedding.”
The King’s Players of Huntingdon First Baptist Church will perform the two-act comedy Friday at 6 p.m. at the church and those attending will also be able to enjoy a delicious meal of pork loin and all the trimmings.
All proceeds from the theater will go to hometown Walk of Hope. Tickets are $12.50 and are available at Health Quest, Five Seasons Men’s Shop and First Citizens National Bank in Union City and at the church.

Fish fry planned
There will be a Boy Scout fish fry at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 631 East Church St., Sunday at noon, following the morning worship service. The community is invited to attend.

Black history
program set
New Hope Freewill Baptist Church will have its annual black history program Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev.  Buster Johnson will be the guest speaker. The church is located at 1106 East Vine St. in Union City. The Rev. Ron Smith is pastor.

To host Choir Day
Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1304 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City, will host the annual Choir Day Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Several choirs will be featured and the community is invited to attend.
