An apparently violent incident Saturday evening has left 34-year-old Malcolm Terry of Martin housed in the Weakley County Detention Center.
According to an incident report issued by the Martin Police Department, Terry allegedly wielded an 11-inch knife at a victim on Harrison Road shortly after 10 p.m. that day.
When ordered to put down the knife by MPD Ptl. Officer Aaron Carter, Terry allegedly charged at the police officer and a struggle ensued between the pair.
The report claims Terry refused to obey the officer’s commands during the struggle.
Carter was eventually able to take Terry into custody.
Before being transported to the WCDC, Terry was taken to Volunteer Community Hospital by the Weakley County Ambulance Service for an evaluation.
Terry faces a charge of aggravated domestic assault.
