UC council to meet

The Messenger, April 20, 2010 Union City’s city council will meet tonight at 5:30 in the Municipal Building courtroom. The agenda includes nominations and/or appointments to the Planning Commission, consideration of a contract with Redflex Traffic Systems Inc. to operate the traffic and speed cameras, authorization of an engineering contract with Wauford Engineering for Phase II of I-69, an address by Jimmy Smith, an update on street sweeping and brush collection, consideration of proclamation guidelines, a proclamation on Spring Clean-up May 15-29, an update on city parks from Ken Morris, review of the Planning Commission minutes from March 18 and a review of bills. The council will also hear grievances and/or complaints from the public and will receive the mayor’s report. The meeting is open to the public. Meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
