Outstanding Employee

OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE – Steve Holt, left, University of Tennessee at Martin Instructional Technology Center director and webmaster, received the exempt UT Martin Fall 2010 Outstanding Employee Award recently presented by Dr. Jerald Ogg, vice chancellor for academic affairs. The award, which recognizes outstanding service to the university, is presented each fall and spring semester to two employees. Included as part of his nomination were comments such as, “In his university roles, Steve coordinates numerous activities and works with many faculty, staff and students. The various training opportunities give faculty the chance to learn new technology in a fun and exciting atmosphere. He has done an outstanding job in developing computer hardware and software solutions to assist our faculty. He creates the training materials and trains PEP leaders to teach incoming freshmen the basics of how to use the technology on campus. Steve is always willing to accept new responsibilities and take on new challenges with enthusiasm and energy. He has a gift of helping others comprehend and experience new technologies. Steve is also a top-notch speaker for the university and is actively involved in various community organizations and initiatives.”wcp 10/19/10
