Tools stolen

Union City police are investigating the theft of over $1,800 worth of tools from a local business.
Vaughn Electric vice president Phillip Harris told police Monday that items were stolen from the service compartments of several service trucks parked at the company at 313 East Florida Ave. sometime between 2 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, according to a Union City Police Department report.
The tools include two Dewalt 18-volt compact four-tool kits, a 910 400-water power inverter, a Dewalt hammerdrill, a Dewalt dual port charger with batteries, a socket set and a set of miscellaneous blades and bits.
