The congregation of Reelfoot Baptist Church, located on Highway 22 west of Union City, is welcoming the Rev. Scott Fields as the new pastor.
The 41-year-old 1987 graduate of Westview High School in Martin served in the U.S. Army for four years and in the National Guard for 10 years.
He studied History of the Holy City at Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2000 and graduated from pre-seminary college in 2001.
He is a trainer for Youth Villages Foster Care.
Fields is married to the former Marcia Kirkpatrick of Savannah and they are the parents of 9-year-old Madelyn Grace. His parents are the Rev. John and Kay Fields of Dyer.
“Brother Scott is a man of spiritual sincerity, a lover of God and the scripture and a dynamic preacher and compassionate person,” a member of the congregation said. “We invite everyone to join us Sunday mornings at 11 for worship and welcome the Fields Family to Reelfoot Baptist Church and our community.”
