VETERANS DAY PROGRAM — A Veteran’s Day celebration was held on Nov. 11 at the Sharon Citizens building to honor their veterans. Speakers included Robbie Damron who spoke about her father, James Essary and his three brothers who all served in he service at the same time in WWII, Aileen Edwards who told about her husband, Charles Edwards, who also served in WWII and the main speaker, John Starett, who spoke of his experiences while serving in Europe during WWII. Their visitor was Marine Lance Corp. James Washburn who was recently injured in Afghanistan. Aline Roberts, member of James Buckley Chapter, DAR, told that the Daughters of the American Revolution support veterans all across the United States.
