UCES’ TOP COOK — Union City Elementary School teacher Allison Palmer was recently presented with the school’s highly-coveted Golden Rolling Pin by principal Michael Paul Miller in recognition of her having won a cook-off for school staff. The staff members participated in the cook-off by bringing tasty treats to school and then serving as judges to determine the best dish. Mrs. Palmer’s dish was Baked Cheese. The winning recipe includes: 2 packages of cream cheese; 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese; 1 can of chopped green chiles; 8-ounce container of sour cream; and 1 cup of chopped ham. To prepare the dish, mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. Serve with Ritz™ crackers.
