WORKSHOP PRESENTED — A recent workshop on Safety in the Chemistry Workplace was sponsored by the Kentucky Lake Section under auspices of an Innovative Projects Grant from the American Chemical Society and in conjunction with the 28th annual Science Bowl at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Twenty high school teachers and other personnel from area schools participated in the workshop. Compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and prudent laboratory safety practices were discussed and sparked interaction among those in attendance.
