UC council to meet

The Messenger, April 19, 2011 The Union City city council will meet this evening at 5:30 in the courtroom of the Union City Municipal Building. The agenda includes an approval of minutes from the April 5 meeting, an appointment to the City Beautiful Commission from Ward 2, a second and final reading of an ordinance rezoning lot no. 32 of the E.W. Richmond Subdivision from RS-1 to B-1, consideration of a TDOT recommendation to change the speed limit to 45 miles per hour on Reelfoot Avenue from Stad Avenue to Hoosier Creek, the presentation and selection of bids received for two Public Works plow and salt spreaders and consideration of various bills. Visitors will also be recognized for the hearing of grievances and/or complaints. Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month and all sessions are open to the public.
