The Messenger, June 23, 2011
Volunteers are needed to move the Obion County Right to Life’s  display of the “Cemetery of Innocence.” Those willing to help are asked to meet at Union City Second Baptist Church on Everett Boulevard Saturday at 9 a.m. to move the crosses to Exchange Street Church of Christ, where they will remain for two weeks.
Anyone interested in standing up for life is encouraged to come and take part, a spokesman said, adding that participants are encouraged to bring three- to four-pound hammers to assist in the work. Extra hammers will be available.
“Please contact the Obion County Chapter at P.O. Box 55, Union City, TN 38281 if you would like to host our display cemetery and you have not been contacted by a representative of our chapter,” a spokesman said. For more information, call 884-2162 or 446-9289.
“Choose Life” license plates are available at the Obion County Courthouse. The additional fee for the specialized plates goes to pro-life crisis pregnancy centers in Tennessee.
The Obion County Right to Life group will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Obion County Museum on Edwards Street in Union City. Anyone who is interested is invited to attend, a spokesman said.
