Benefit ride planned for cancer victim

Community members are asked to help raise money for a Dresden man battling cancer who is struggling to pay medical bills as a result.
The Sons of Thunder will be hosting a benefit ride to raise money for Jamie Bradberry of Dresden, who is fighting cancer.
A benefit dinner will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Dresden American Legion. Tickets for plates are $10 each and can be purchased up to the start of the benefit ride, which is planned for 10 a.m. that day.
Tickets can be purchased from any Sons of Thunder member.
The benefit ride will begin at 10 a.m. at the Dresden City Park. The bikes will begin leaving at 11 a.m. The ride will conclude at the Dresden American Legion where barbecue plates with all the trimmings will be served at 2 p.m.
Additionally, there will be a yard sale at the end of the ride with many items from which to choose.
Everyone is welcome to attend, so ride a bike, drive a car or roller skate in if you have to, a spokesperson said. For more information on tickets email dresdenthunder@gmail.com or contact Brad Copley at 819-2455.
