Commidity food to be distributed



The Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture, will be distributing commodity foods on July 13 and July 14 at the agency’s central office located at 231 S. Wilson St. in Dresden.
Distribution will be between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. If your last name begins with L - Z you are asked to pick up food on July 13 and if it begins with A - K your pick-up date is July 14.
Everyone picking up commodities must possess a bright pink card.
Applications will not be taken on the day that commodities are distributed.
There will be no numbers given out before 7 a.m.
Commodity distribution is a first come/first serve-based program.
“Please be aware that due to a shortage of inventory some food on hand you may not receive the same number of items as someone else in the event a food items runs out,” a press release states.
