Lady Vol Williams
will have ACL surgery

KNOXVILLE (AP) — Tennessee guard Kamiko Williams has torn a ligament in her left knee.
Jenny Moshak, the Lady Volunteers’ associate athletics director for sports medicine, said Monday that Williams will need reconstructive surgery soon on the torn ACL.
Williams, a junior from Clarksville, injured her knee on Thursday while playing in the Women’s Rocky Top League, a summer basketball league in Knoxville.
The injury happened when she went for a reverse layup after driving the baseline.
Moshak says Williams’ rehabilitation will begin immediately, but surgery has not been scheduled.
The 5-foot-11 Williams averaged 6.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 17.9 minutes in 37 games last season and started four times.
