UCHS student passes
available for athletics

Union City High School student sports passes are available for $20.
The passes can be purchased at the high school and allow students admission to all Golden Tornadoes’ 2011-12 home athletic events.

Women’s event needs
scorecard playoff

Two teams came in with exact 5-under-par totals to tie for the top spot in the weekly ladies league outing at the Goodyear Wingfoot Golf Course on Tuesday.
Via scorecard playoff, Kathy Lanahan, Sharon Dills, Dino Nerren and Charlotte Hall won the top spot.
The threesome of Leatha Barnes, Beverly Yates and Janice Hanna also shot 5-under.
Wingfoot Golf Course hosts the weekly ladies league outing every Tuesday.

UTM selling tickets
for Miss. State game

UT Martin’s football game (Nov. 5) at Mississippi State went on sale earlier this week. The tickets, available at the Skyhawk Ticket Office in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center, are $30 each.
UT Martin season football tickets are also on sale now at the Skyhawk Ticket Office.
The Skyhawks will host five home games at Hardy M. Graham Stadium. The home opener is set for Thursday, Sept. 15. against Union (Ky.) College. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. The Skyhawks will host Murray State on Sept. 22 with kickoff set for 6 p.m. The Skyhawks will host Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech Saturday, Oct. 1. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Homecoming is set for Saturday, Oct. 8, when the Skyhawks host in-state rival Austin Peay. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
Season ticket prices start as low as $45 for general admission. Bench back seats are $70 each and chair seats are $83. Individual game tickets are $18 for chair seats and $16 for bench back seats. General admission tickets are $10 each while student general admission tickets are $5 each.

Mann joins hall
at Murray State

Murray State Athletics announced the 2012 MSU Hall of Fame Class that includes five outstanding greats in Racer Athletics history.
The 2012 class includes William “Bill” Beard from rifle, Bob Doty of track & field, William Hampton of football, Don Mann from basketball and Nikki Orazine from women’s golf.
Additionally, Frank Fazi will be inducted into the MSU Athletics Hall of Distinction.
The inductions will be held at the CFSB Center Jan. 27. The group will also be honored guests at the Murray State basketball game against Eastern Illinois (Jan. 28) at the CFSB Center. Information about the induction banquet will be announced later.
The MSU Hall of Fame is open to former MSU student-athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves in the athletics’ arena.
