Pair of hat tricks
good for Lady Rebs

Brooke Jennings and Whitney Lee both recorded hat tricks to lead the Obion Central girls’ soccer team to its first victory of the season, 7-0 over Gibson County Monday night in Troy.
Jennings scored twice in the first half, then added a third goal after the intermission, while Lee scored two of her three goals after the break to help the Lady Rebels improve to 1-1-1.
Danielle Gansereit was responsible for OC’s other tally in the second half.
Obion Central plays host to Dyersburg in an important District 13AA game today at 5.

Central’s Jackson
on Titans’ coach list

Riverdale head  coach Ron Aydelott has been named the Titans High School Football Coach of the Week for Week One.
Also receiving strong consideration was Shawn Jackson of Obion Central whose team defeated Ripley 38-0.

South Fulton played perennially-tough Dyers-burg tough for a half beore eventually falling to the Lady Trojans 4-0 Monday in girls’ prep soccer.
The Devilettes were down just 1-0 at the break against a D’burg program that has qualified for the state tournament the past couple of seasons.
