Brandon Bennett of Rives is graduating this week from Volunteer Beauty Academy of Dyersburg.
He is employed at Sally Beauty Supply in Union City and will soon join A Better You salon on South Ury Street in Union City.
Bennett is the son of Sharla Bennett of Dyersburg and Joe and Dawn Bennett of Bells. He is the grandson of Donna Osteen of Ridgely, Robert and Valerie Bledsoe of Bogota, Portia Bennett of Union City and Lonnie and Reba Bennett of Gates.

Several Obion County students were named to the Dean’s List or honor roll at Dyersburg State Community College for the fall semester.
Dean’s List honorees included Susan Douglas and David Lamastus, both of Hornbeak; Kimberly Gurien, Michael Parsons and Maria Rodriguez, all of Obion; Jessica Baker, Aaronda Bivens, Sheridan Daniels and Jacob Southerland, all of South Fulton; Ryan Jay Abang, Kayle Garland, Tammy McNeal, Michael Quinton, James Spaulding and Joli Tackett, all of Troy; and Cynthia Anderson, Stephanie Hall, William Jameson, Jonathan Jonas, Patricia Mack, Alyssa McMinn,  Linda Stokes,  Frankie Underwood,  Mary Wellons and David Wharton, all of Union City.
Named to the honor roll were Jon Koob of Obion; Devin Ellison of Rives; Rachel Lewellyng of Samburg; Ethan Davis, Brandy Hamm, Andrew Kelly, Charles Marshall and Autumn Wills, all of Troy; and Theresa Adams, Kayce Bunch, Kayla Keeling, John King, Kirsten Launer, Kenneth McCord, Casey Russell, Leann Staser and Jody Wright, all of Union City.
