UC council sets meeting



The Union City city council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building.
On the agenda under old business is final approval of an ordinance authorizing the city’s Industrial Development Board to negotiate and accept In Lieu of Ad Valorem taxes and consideration of a contract for city-wide trash removal and residential recycling.
Under new business, the council will consider an ordinance amending the Municipal Code pertaining to rural fire service, a rural fire subscription agreement, an agreement to provide firefighting service outside the city limits and will consider a voluntary water conservation program.
Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public.
