Paducah, Ky.-based Premier Fire & Safety Inc. has acquired fire extinguisher sales and service company, First Defense Fire Protection of South Fulton.
Premier Fire & Safety is now providing complete fire protection, security and safety services for the West Tennessee area.
With the purchase of First Defense Fire Protection, Premier Fire & Safety becomes the region’s only fire protection company to offer complete fire protection, security and safety services to its growing list of residential, commercial, and industrial clients in the region.
“This acquisition enables us to provide West Tennessee customers  a complete portfolio of fire protection, safety and  security services from a single, locally-owned company,” Premier Fire owner and president Jason Hickey said. “The employees of First Defense will remain with the new company ensuring a smooth transition and they will now be able to offer a much broader scope of services to existing and new clients.”
 Premier Fire Protection Inc. began operations in 1974.
Originally named Western Kentucky Sprinkler by founder Larry Hickey, the firm specialized in fire sprinkler system installations for commercial and industrial applications.
In 2004, the firm added alarm, fire detection and extinguisher products and services to accommodate customer needs as an integral component of their strategic plan to become a “one source resource” in the fire protection business.
Today, Premier Fire provides a complete spectrum of fire, security and protection for all types of applications, from start-to-finish system design and installation to maintenance, inspection and service.
