Miss Henderson to wed Thomas on Oct. 6

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Whitney Laine Henderson and Justin Eric Thomas, both of Lexington, Ky., are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Steve and Janice Downs of Paducah, Ky., and Bryant Henderson of Fulton. Her grandparents are the late Edward and Evelyn Andrews and Paul Henderson, all of Hickman, Ky., and Nora Whitlock of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is a 2005 graduate of South Fulton High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in health science from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro during 2009. She graduated magna cum laude in 2012 from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in Lexington, where she earned her doctor of pharmacy degree. She is a pharmacist at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. The groom-elect is the son of Tanya Thomas of Mayfield, Ky. His grandparents are Daniele Speed of Mayfield, and the late Anthony and Etta Onie Thomas of Kirbyton, Ky. He is a 2005 graduate of Graves County (Ky.) High School. He plans to receive his master of physician assistant studies degree from the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences and his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2013. He is employed as a pharmacy intern at K-Mart Pharmacy in Versailles, Ky. The couple plan to wed 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Lodge at Emerald Waters in Mayfield. A reception will be held there immediately following the ceremony.
