LETTER BY LETTER — Winners were recently named in the Fulton Independent School Spelling Bee. They included (from left, front row) sixth-grade school bee winners Brian Johnson, first place; Jaliss Madding, second place; and Blake Roach, third place; (middle row) seventh-grade school bee winners Tori Seng, first place; Jordan Miller, second place; and Gabby Madding, third place; and (back row) eighth-grade school bee winners A’nissa Madding, first place; Serena Aden, second place; and Ray Pledge, third place. As Fulton County, Ky., spelling bee winner, Miss Aden will advance to the Mid-South Spelling Bee on March 1 in Memphis, which is a preliminary to the National Scripps Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Roach placed second at the county level.
