Katelynne Margaret McClung, daughter of Kyle and Vicki McClung of Bartlett, recently graduated magna cum laude with University Honors from the University of Memphis with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a minor in French.
She is the granddaughter of Ferrell and Sue Nipp of Union City and R.B. and Peggy McClung of Jonesboro, Ark.
At U of M, Miss Mc-Clung participated in the Psychology Honors Program, Environmental Action Club, Psi Chi International Honor Society of Psychology, Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She also received the U of M Association of Retirees Scholarship, the Milton Addington Scholarship, the Dean’s Scholarship and the U of M Study Abroad Scholarship.
She participated in the University Honors Program’s Study Abroad Trip to Paris and Brussels, in addition to maintaining a grade point average within the top 10 percent of her class.
She has been accepted into the U of M’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and will pursue a master’s degree this fall.

Shannon Meek of Union City was recently named to the Dean’s List at West Tennessee Business College in Jackson with a grade of 99.
