By the numbers
Fowler had what head coach Kelly Spivey called “the perfect defensive game” in South Fulton’s 29-6 triumph at Bruceton that opened the Red Devils’ 2012 campaign. Fowler had eight solo tackles, a pair of interceptions that he returned for 98 total yards and two forced fumbles for a SF unit that surrendered just 203 yards all totaled.
He thwarted a pair of promising Bruceton drives with turnovers, the first when he stripped the ball from a Tiger runner, the second when he picked off a pass near the Bruceton goal line and made a long return.
