 To mark anniversary
United Church of the Living God, located at 609 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Fulton, will be celebrating the sixth anniversary of the pastor, the Rev. Margaret Pettigrew, Sunday at 3 p.m. Betty Gordon is assistant pastor.
Special guest will be the Rev. Michael Pryor of House of Hope Ministries in Paducah, Ky.
The public is invited to attend.

Yard/bake sale slated
Home Street Church of God, located at 417 South Home St. in Union City, will host a yard and bake sale in the church fellowship hall Friday and Saturday, beginning at 7 each morning.
There will be homemade cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cupcakes and items such as books, a portable DVD player, a VCR, shop equipment, ladies’ purses, shoes, quilts, Tennessee collectibles, ladies’ and men’s clothing, home decor items, toys and odds and ends.
The community is invited to support this effort.

Homecoming noted
Graves Chapel Church of God, located at 112 Luther Davis Road between Hornbeak and Troy, will celebrate homecoming Sunday. The Rev. James “Dee” Peavyhouse of Mayfield, Ky., will preach at 11 and a noon meal will follow. The Borders Family will present a gospel music concert at 2.
The community is invited to attend.

Revival planned
Stanley’s Chapel United Methodist Church will host a revival Sunday through Tuesday.
Sunday night has been designated “Special Youth Revival,” and there wil be a “Heaven’s Gate” tailgate party with hamburgers and hot dogs at 5:30 p.m. at the church, located near Union City.
Breaking Walls will provide special music and Tim McClain will be the speaker at 7.
On Monday, the congregation and guests will be invited to enjoy finger foods at 6, followed by special music from The Tate Family. The Rev. Steve Cavitt will preach at 7.
Tuesday night’s meal will feature pizza, with New Heights Vocal Group providing special music.
Dennis Johnson will preach at 7.
The public is invited to attend.

VBS slated
Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host an all-day Vacation Bible School, with the theme “The Wild West Rodeo,” Saturday from 9 a.m.-3  p.m. at the church, located at 631 East Church St. Children from 4-11 years old are invited to attend and selected their own “bucking bronco.” Lunch and snacks will be served.
The community is invited to attend.

Simulcast planned
2012 Living Proof Live Simulcast with best-selling author and Bible study teacher Beth Moore and Travis Cotrell will kick off Sept. 15 at Martin First Baptist Church, located at 123 University St.
Tickets are $10, including lunch, if purchased in advance. The program will be in progress from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with doors opening at 8 a.m.

Revival beginning
Union City Baptist Temple, located at 1900 Longview Road in Union City, will be in revival Monday and Tuesday at 7 each evening.
Dr. Scott Hanks of Lawrence, Kan., will be the evangelist.
The Rev. Ed Decker and the congregation invite the community to attend.
