An opportunity for University of Tennessee at Martin students to connect with local organizations and agencies and learn about opportunities to volunteer within the surrounding community is coming up during the Fall 2012 Service Learning and Volunteer Fair — set for Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the ground floor of Boling University Center.
The fair also provides a venue for faculty to connect with organizations for potential partnerships.
Many West Tennessee community service organizations will be represented, including programs for elementary and high school students, mental health programs, living centers, food banks and clothing distribution organizations, child abuse prevention, faith organization, hospice and many others.
The UT Martin Depart-ment of Behavioral Sci-ences and the Institute for Civic Engagement are co-sponsoring the Service Learning and Volunteer Fair. For more information, contact Dr. Nancy Sonleitner, Department of Behavioral Sciences, at (731) 881-7520.
