The frames of the barrel-style seating group are weather-resistant in espresso rattan and feature comfy cushions in warm, dark tones. The door prize is worth $2,199 and will be awarded at the second “tastefully entertaining” fund raiser, which will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration, featuring generous “tastes” of delicious items from more than a dozen area restaurants and food specialists, plus the opportunity to sample some fine wine from area vineyards, will be moved to Everett-Stewart Regional Airport near Union City. Blind Red Rooster will be making a return appearance and providing dancing music from the golden age of rock and roll, plus country hits and other favorites of adult audiences. Tickets are $25 at Union City Main Street office or from members of the committee planning the fund- raising event. Those who purchase tickets at the door will pay $30 for adult passes. Main Street, Masquerade Theatre and Boys & Girls Club of Union City will benefit from this fund raiser, which proved so popular in an inaugural event last October. Organizers say they are expecting an even larger turnout for this year’s event, since crowds from the 2011 celebration have been spreading the word about the event tastefully planned with adults in mind.
