FAR OUT — Students in Trudy Evans’s third-grade class at Union City Elementary School recently shared the projects they created at the conclusion of a study of the solar system. Among them were (from left, front row) Madison Preciado, Cymber Gorney, (back row) Kendall Craig, Matthew Atwill, AnaLaura Nieves, Cooper Hurt, Sam Guess and Raquel Hurt. The students used many Internet Web sites and PowerPoint presentations to enhance their learning. They were assigned optional space projects to turn in at the end of the unit.
