Completed arrangements are being announced for Clarence Eugene “Sonny” Underwood, 89, of Union City, who died at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Feb. 6, 2013.
Services will be noon Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with  Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Fulton County, Ky.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Guy Walker Gray, Matthew Gray, Jimmy Logan, Lucas Flood and Jason Crabtree.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City First Baptist Church or the Liberty Cemetery Fund.
He was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Union City, son of the late Clarence Eugene and Anna D. “Jake” (Key) Underwood. He married the former Nancy Carolyn Hardy March 26, 1950. She died Feb. 12, 2011.
He was an electrician for 40 years and had been employed at the former American Metals and the former Superior Fireplace. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Union City First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Flood of Union City; his son, Jamie Underwood of Birmingham, Ala.; his grandson, James Matthew Underwood of Birmingham; and two sisters, Jo Compton and Sue Henderly, both of Toledo, Ohio.
