Jamie Gantt, 63, of Yorkville died Feb. 7, 2013.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. Darryl Marcle was to officiate and burial was to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were to be Joseph Henry, Jodie Baldridge, Dale Treece, Johnny Gantt, David Gantt and Adam Gantt. Honorary pallbearers were to be Scott Coleman, Royce Stanley, Tim Revell, Donald Hanafee, Harold D. Riddle, Frankie Cheatham, Kenneth Cheatham, Brad Keightley, Charles Gray and Ted Kendall.
He was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Lake County, son of the late R.S. and Marie (Stuart) Gantt. He married the former Vickie Edmiston Aug. 15, 2008. She survives. A retired construction worker, he was a member of Laneview Baptist Church near Kenton and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Reece Farrar of Kenton; his son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Merany Gantt of Union City; his stepdaughter, Michelle Snell of Union City; his stepson, Joseph Henry of Gleason; his sister, Alma Riddle of the Shawtown community; three brothers, Charles Gantt of Munford, Mack Gantt of Brighton and Timmy Gantt of Shawtown; two grandsons, Braeden Farrar and Seth Farrar, both of Kenton; eight step-grandchildren, Stephen Bell, Alexandria Welch and Seth Bell, all of Union City, Johnathan Welch of Troy and Destiny Henry, Christina Henry, Annette Henry and Daniel “Hoss” Henry, all of Gleason; and his step-great-grandson, Spencer Welch of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Gantt and Dwight Gantt.
